Project for the construction of a solar farm in the province of Cuenca in Spain.

This project shows the importance of taking into account all the infrastructure and drainage systems surrounding the study sites.

For this project, the study and modeling of the drainage systems that cross the road are essential to know the true flow flowing in the study area.

Two videos are shown: one shows the water levels over the entire plot for a return period of 100 years; the other shows how the drainage system works, tracking water particles as they pass through it.

2D modeling makes it possible to highlight an accumulation zone upstream of the road which is explained by a difference in flow rate between the flow entering the drainage system and the flow leaving.
