Hand-held drillings

Hand-held drillings (Pre-drilling) aim to confirm that there are no underground pipes or buried element that could be damaged. They are previously performed to the execution of the rotational probes, and are held by a hand auger (Hand auguer) Eijelkamp signature or AMS-Samplers, manually punching the first meters of land.

• If concrete was found at surface level the first few centimeters are drilled with a light drilling crown machine type Hilti or similar leaving the clean hole drilling materials.
• Subsequent drilling will begin using hand-held equipment to the precise depth, 1.5-2.0 m.
• The hand-held drilling will have at least the same diameter as the bore to be effected by the battery of probes.
• Once it has reached the required depth the hole will be drilled in the usual way.
• The work area will be cleaned once the survey is completed and if necessary at the end of the workday.
